Деян ЙовичDejan Jovic

Prof. Dejan Jovic has a BA in Political Science from the University of Zagreb, two MA degrees in Political Science – from the University of Ljubljana and the University of Manchester, and a PhD from the London School of Economics. He was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. Currently, Prof. Jovic is an associate professor of International Relations and National Security at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb, and a lecturer in Political Science at the University of Stirling. In 2003-2009, he was head of the European Good-Neighborly Relations Center of the University of Stirling. Prof. Jovic is the author of a number of books and scientific articles and acts as an advisor to numerous think tanks. His scientific area includes foreign political analyses, politics, the societies in South-Eastern Europe, the Cold War and the post-bipolar world, as well as the causes for, and consequences of, the disintegration of socialist Yugoslavia. In 2010, the President of Croatia appointed Prof. Dejan Jovic Chief Analyst and Special Coordinator of the President’s Office of the Republic of Croatia.
